Vegan Chocolate Slice
- 2 cups (250g) plain flour
- 2 cups (460g) white sugar
- 3/4 cup (90g) cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (250ml) water
- 1 cup (250ml) vegetable oil or coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Lightly grease your baking tray.
In a large bowl stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Pour in water, vegetable oil and vanilla; mix until well blended. Spread evenly in baking tray.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven until the top is no longer shiny. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
*These are very gooey slices. If you want them firmer you’ll need to cook them longer than the recommended time or use a little less oil.
Tofutti Cream Cheese
You can find Tofutti in pretty much any Coles or Woolies, normally near the philli cheese.
It’s amazing in Tufu scramble, pasta dishes and dips etc…
I don’t personally think that its anything special on it’s own, but it’s definitely edible!
